Dating can be equated with getting dressed in the dark; you don't know what you will pick up and whether or not your top will match your bottoms. It's the same way with choosing potential boyfriends.
You try dating guys your own age and decide that surprise, surprise they are too immature for you to handle. So you try dating older and either their too mature or their still channeling their younger selves consistently. So you resort to dating a younger guy whom if he's not too immature for you, then you are probably at two completely different stages of your lives.
So what is a girl to do? Keep wading around the dating pool trying to find someone with who you are both compatible and mature enough for.
In high school and college you generally date guys that are within a 1-4 year age range of you. But it has become quite popular that older women are dating significantly younger men. .
Maybe it's because I am only 21 but at this point in my life I could not see myself dating a younger guy. An upside to younger men is they tend to "worship" older woman. Some girls may find their self-esteem to rise around a younger guy eager to date them. However, if maturity is a problem with the 22-year-olds then why would it be any different with a 19- year-old?
It seems that you would have better luck finding that dress you saw months ago in your size on the Bloomie's sale rack.
But guys are not as simple as clothing, they too make things complicated no matter if they are a few years or months younger or older. So even though choosing a potential boyfriend is not quite as simple a choosing a commencement dress, all I can say is you will never know unless you try it on for size.
