Irish Chamber Orchestra to play at Edgerton Center

Attention all music enthusiasts.
The Irish Chamber Orchestra, one of the most influential ensembles in the international music scene is touring in the U.S. for the very first time. Get a glimpse of the Orchestra in their performance Friday, Apr. 11, at 8 p.m. in the Edgerton Center.
This performance is presented by the Center for Irish cultural studies here at Sacred Heart.
Musical director and violinist, Anthony Marwood, leads the Orchestra. He was named Instrumentalist of the Year at the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Awards in 2006.
The band, based in Limerick, Ireland, has been building their reputation as one of the world's finest ensembles of its kind. They are known as one of Irelands world-class assets.
Earning critical acclaim for their debut in Berlin and working with celebrities including Nigel Kennedy and Steven Isserlis, it is clear the Orchestra is certainly striving for a higher worldwide standing.
They have recently toured in China, South Korea and Australia as they are making a name for their musical distinction.
