Quinnipiac University experienced more chaos than expected at this year's Spring Concert. T-Pain came with his entourage and left with the Hamden police.
Every year, Quinnipiac University has a major talent come and perform for their Spring Concert. This year they chose T-Pain as their headliner after his successful year.
On Feb. 23, students shuffled into Alumni Hall to watch T-Pain perform and left in shock.
"At some point during the concert, there was an altercation and T-Pain and entourage were asked to leave several times but refused," said contactmusic.com.
"The institution made some requests but T-Pain and his entourage didn't listen, and suffice to say, he refused to comply," said Chief of Security John Twining. The end result was calling the Hamden Police in for extra help.
University officials have refused to divulge details about the event surrounding T-Pain whose real name is Faheem Najm.
"Phone calls and emails were not immediately returned by Ticeman Merriweather, a spokesperson for Sony/BMG, parent company of Najm's record label, Jive," said the Quinnipiac Chronicle.
On Friday, April 11, T-Pain is scheduled to perform at the William H. Pitt Center. Questions have been going around about how to react if a similar situation occurs at Sacred Heart.
"The Public Safety staff and the Student Life staff will immediately act on any inappropriate/disorderly behavior that may occur during this event," said Director of Public Safety Jack Fernandez.
Two years ago, Flypside, Pussycat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas came and blew everyone away with their performances. Future performers have to measure up to the bar that these groups have set.
This year, Grammy-award winning talents T-Pain and Ne-Yo will step on the stage in the Pitt Center to impress the Sacred Heart community. The advertisements and emails about the concert have left people in anticipation of the event.
Other past performances include Lifehouse, Augustana and many other acts, which vary different types of genres, representing the different tastes in music across campus.

The countdown to the concert has begun and is approaching quickly. The Pitt Center will be full of Sacred Heart students and the public who want to see T-Pain and Ne-Yo live.
Hopefully this year's concert will be just as exciting as the previous ones and will leave students wanting an encore. Security will be there to make sure that everything goes as planned and there are no unnecessary acts happening that may harm others lives.
The Public Safety and Student Life department have been working together to provide an exciting but safe environment for students and the general public for this concert. All that is left is T-Pain and Ne-Yo's exciting performances.
