Men are from mars, women are from venus. That popular 90s bestseller may have had more to it than just the catchy title. Men and women are different in the obvious ways, so they also convey their feelings and emotions differently and have very different views on relationships
Once we graduated the from seemingly cookie cutter high school relationships of "we went to prom together and all the football games and blah blah blah," we come to college. Where it seemed to me that where relationships where concerned, we were not in Kansas anymore.
In college it seems perfectly logical to "keep your options open", why be in a relationship with one person, when playing the field is more fun and interesting. I use to think that people in committed relationships in college were nuts; it seemed like such a hassle.
As I have learned throughout my years at college, there is a time and a place for everything. Forcing a relationship that both parties involved aren't really for will only end in shambles.
College is the time to really find yourself, to make bad choices and figure out what it is you want out of life. Well I can confidently say that I have found myself, made a number of bad choices and I now know what I want out of life.
I'm pretty convinced that guys will always remain somewhat a mystery to myself and other women, and likewise for the girls. And although sometimes it may be extremely frustrating trying to figure out if that sidelong glance means more than you thought or if your fri-lation-ship ("friend" relationship) is going to turn into more than what it is, you have to admit that it's fun. The mystery of guys and trying to figure out what they mean when they say or do something is, is half the fun of relationships.
