He Said: Are we living in a 'man-boy' era?

When you take a look at the guys you know and when I take a look?at the guys I know, we can have a discussion about how all guys are?immature - no matter what. But since this is an article, we won't?discuss it and I'll just write about it.?
I think I am a pretty mature guy. I've been called mature my?whole life. But that doesn't mean If?there is a promise of humor in a situation, you can bet your butt that I?will partake and enjoy every minute of it. Just now one of my roommates?asked if we wanted to microwave two old CD's and we all considered it?deeply. Does that make me immature? I don't know. And frankly, I?don't care.?
When a girl does?something immature it is called a different name and society thinks of?it as something altogether different. In the case of relationships, it?is usually the woman who wants to settle first and then the guy needs?convincing - another one of our flaws.? There are exceptions to the rule, obviously. There are those?"emotionally" mature men who are much wiser beyond their years, but?that just means they had no childhood and going to regret that?when their midlife crisis hits. Live a little.
Don't think of what?society is going to say. If you want to run over your G.I. Joe action?figures with your Hummer, then go for it. If you want to play?video games until two in the morning, then you play those video games.? I'll tell you a secret: most of the immature guys I know are in?committed relationships and girls actually find immaturity endearing -?to an extent.
I believe it is in our natures as men to be immature and to stay cool in any situation. Girls who understand?this wind up making the perfect wives. We are going to be idiots 75 percent of?the time in our lives. Just let it be.
