It is your chance to be heard.
During the week of Feb. 10 through Feb. 16, Sacred Heart University has been chosen as "College of the Week" by a youth political Web site called, YourThreeCents.com.
During this week, the political voices of Sacred Heart students were highlighted for the Feb. 11 issue.
Your Three Cents is an informational, blogging community Web site where the youth of America can express their thoughts and feelings about politics, especially the Presidential hopefuls.
It is also a place where questions for the Presidential candidates may be submitted as well as pictures of issues that raise concerns.
"Your Three Cents is a great way for people our age to get their voices out. It just goes to show that even though we are younger than most politicians and adults, our opinions do matter. They didn't make the age to vote 18 for nothing," said sophomore Kerri Kalinski.
According to their Web site, "Your Three Cents was created by a few college graduate students who thought their generation needed a clear, specific place to voice their opinions on the state of the world."
Being "College of the Week" emphasizes specifically what students from Sacred Heart have to say about our nation's affairs.
"I feel proud to be a part of Sacred Heart University, it's thrilling that we are being named 'College of the Week'," said junior Elise Silverstone.
