She said: Give the gift of love or heartbreak?

Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that recieves mixed reviews from ?all sides. I know some girls like myself who could really care less and ?guys who are all bent out of shape trying to plan something spectacular for? their sweetie.
Valentine's Day for me is just another day which Hallmark, ?florist and candy shops make out like bandits. The day after stores ?practically give away those little candy message hearts and those cheap ?teddy bears with creepy voice recordings have dropped significantly in ?price.
Does having a special someone to share the day with change your ?perception of Valentine's Day? For some it might, but for me whether or not ?I am in a relationship has never swayed me. I don't see the point in? getting all stressed out about proving your affection for someone and? driving yourself nuts trying to figure out what to get them or make them ?just because the card companies said so.
Many girls want flowers, candy, jewelry and a nice dinner ?out. Yes, that stuff is nice, but I'd rather someone make me dinner, or do ?something creative like make me a card, stuff like that to me is more? meaningful and something you will remember for a long time after.?
I would rather be going to see Band of Horses play with my best? friend than have the cheesy over done Valentine's Day celebration. ?Regardless of what your relationship status is don't let a silly holiday? like Valentine's Day ruin it. Whether your in a relationship, playing the ?field, or nothing is really happening in your love life, take Valentine's ?Day as another day in the month of February. ?Don't let the pressure of gifts or celebrating such a commercialized holiday ?ruin your day or compromise your relationship.
