Say you'll be there is not just a promise, it's words to live by.
Announcing in June of 2007 that they would reunite for an eight-country world concert tour to begin in December of 2007, the 90's famed pop-sensations The Spice Girls are back.
In 1994, 400 applicants auditioned at London's West End dance studio "Danceworks" aspiring to be part of the next pop sensation. The two managers were looking for five girls between the ages of 18-23 to form an all-girl pop group.
After singing a record deal with Virgin Records in 1994, the girls decided to take nicknames; Sporty, Posh, Ginger, Baby and Scary Spice.
Their first hit single "Wannabe" started at number three and jumped to the top spot the following week only to stay there for the next seven weeks.
"Wannabe" became the fastest selling single by a female group in the UK and topped the charts in 22 countries.
"I went to the Spice Girls concert in 1998 and it was one of the best concerts I've been to," said junior Katie Irizarry. "So going to the reunion tour ten years later was incredible."
Even with the years having passed, the Spice Girls still manage to put on a great performance.
"They performed for just about two hours and there was nonstop energy from them the entire time. They sang mostly old hits and each of the girls had a little solo act," said Irizarry.
The Spice Girls have been known to appeal to all age groups.
"Their proud, all-girl image and catchy dance-pop appealed to younger listeners, while their colorful, sexy personalities and sense of humor appealed to older music fans, making Spice Girls a cross-generational success," said Starpulse.com.
"It was basically re-living my teen years and I loved every single second of it cause it totally reminded me of how I was such a dork singing along to their music wherever I went," said senior Ivanna Williams. "I really wish I could go to every single other concert of theirs just to sing along and watch them entertain the crowds."
"I went to the Spice Girls reunion concert in New York City on Feb. 11. It was so much fun. The show was high energy, entertaining, and showed that the girls still know how to captivate their audience years later," said senior Christie Feraudo.
Even with the latest news of their tour ending early due to family commitments, the Spice Girls have lived up to their name and showed a newer generation that they can still spice up your life.
