Mornings can be rough. Whether you were up all night studying or writing that ten-page paper at the last minute, you are going to need something to help you jump start your day. Einstein Bros Bagels is the solution that can spruce up any morning.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet it is the most commonly skipped meal. As college students, it is very difficult to find time to eat breakfast, or wake up before it is over. If you are awake and tired of going to the diner or FLIK for breakfast, look no further than Einstein's, located on 2205 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.

Einstein's can be found in the same plaza as Starbucks and The GAP. This quaint little bakery has a bright atmosphere with vibrant colored walls and pictures of what appears to be the real Einstein brothers. There are also plenty of tables inside if you choose to dine in.

The breakfast menu is definitely something that will help motivate you to get out of bed in the morning. Einstein's offers a variety of bagel omelet sandwiches, such as turkey sausage and cheddar, spinach mushroom and Swiss, bacon and cheddar and the spicy Santa Fe, just to name a few. They also offer vegetable, spinach and bacon paninis for breakfast, which are all served on Ciabatta bread.

Einstein's is most commonly known for their wide selection of fresh bagels. You can choose from plain, wild blueberry, cinnamon raisin swirl, cinnamon sugar, cranberry, sesame, potato, poppy seed, asiago, chocolate chip, honey whole wheat, everything, egg, sun-dried tomato, chopped onion, chopped garlic, jalapeno and pumpernickel.

My favorite bagel is cinnamon and sugar. It reminds me of when I was a kid and I used to eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch every morning.

If you think there are a lot of bagels to choose from, wait until you see how many cream cheese spreads, or schmeares they have to offer.

Not a morning person? Lunch is also popular at Einstein's. They serve a variety of grilled sandwiches, gourmet salads, soups and gourmet bagel dogs.

Personally, I am usually never hungry in the morning, but I could always go for a drink to help wake me up. Einstein's offers many different kinds of beverages. From frozen coffee to java drinks, Einstein's offers whatever you need to give yourself that morning buzz.

The only downside was the customer service at the counter. It seemed as though all of the workers needed a coffee break. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed at me for taking so long to decide what I wanted to get, and I felt rushed.

Einstein's is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m., Saturday from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Until next week, happy dining.
