Sacred Heart is known for having a small, tight knit community which is hugely beneficial to the student body. Classes are small and the faculty knows the student body personally. There is more one on one student to teacher interaction. Tis sort of personal attention doesnt happen at larger Universities. However, if you look at this great opportunity in a negative light one could say that such a small college campus is simply the equivalent to a large high school.

The close relationship between the students of Sacred Heart University does not leave much room for total privacy.

Everyone knows everything about one another other. Even though Sacred Heart is a small college, extreme jealously in a relationship is not going to work.

Of course, like any person it's hard not to be jealous when you see your ex with someone else.

As much as you may want to give dirty look or say something demeaning to your ex's new interest, it would be wise to hold off.

SHU is a smaller campus with approximately 6,100 students. Gossip-wise many students think of SHU as a "glorified high school." It is in your best interest to keep your comments to yourself if you don't want the entire SHU campus to hear and spread rumors about the strong dislike you have for your ex and his/her new boyfriend/girlfriend.

Trust is a necessity, and if your boyfriend or girlfriend cannot trust you, jealous or not, the relationship will fail.

The only hindrance this campus will put on a relationship is rumors and gossip. You may hear that she did this while she was out or he did that, but you need to first hear out your significant other before you fall in the gossip ring which can occur on a small campus.

Overall, a small campus and student body is much more beneficial than is it detrimental. The benefit of small classes, faculty interaction and close knit friends greatly outweighs the potential jealousy in a relationship on a small campus.
