Before choosing a girlfriend or boyfriend, there are a few things that one may have at the top list of characteristics their significant other must have. Some top 5 must haves of a prospective girlfriend are:
1. Common goals. If you and your prospective girlfriend have similar goals there will be a greater chance of a successful relationship. You will have more to share with one another, and have things to look foward to tell each other about.
2. Good sense of humor. This is important to keep the relationship interesting and fresh. If someone has a sense of humor, they keep you on your feet and in a laid back mood. When a person is funny they allow you to feel less nervous about things, and will always have you smiling.
3. Integrity. Your possible new girlfriend must have a value system similar to your own if the relationship is going to prosper. They have to have similar goals and morals that can relate to how you may have been brought up.
4. Personality. A potential girlfriend must have a personality, which complements your own. Find someone who you get along with, and find someone who you have much in common.
5. Trust. Trust is essential for a successful relationship. The prospective girlfriend must be able to trust you and you must be able to trust her. This will result in less drama and more fun that you will be able to share with one another.
