"It's definitely a great adventure movie of epic proportions," said Jennilyn DeSisto, senior, Trumbull, agreeing with the International Movie Database's noted genre categories "King Kong" falls into.

Three months from it's theatrical release date of Dec. 14, 2005, there will be two different editions of "King Kong" on DVD available. The movie's regular one disc edition is sold for $14.99 while a two disc special edition is sold for $19.99. The special edition's second disc contains Jackson's production diaries and offers in-depth featurettes giving the audience insight and information while also revealing the behind the scene creation of the timeless story.

"Expanding on the original story of the blonde beauty and the beast who falls for her, Jackson creates a movie spectacle that includes fantasy while simultaneously depicting the greatness of 1930's Hollywood. It's a great film that I saw in theaters and will likely pick it up on DVD when I get the chance," said Griffin Pfalztgraf, sophomore, Fairfield University.

Naomi Watts ("21 Grams") plays that blonde beauty; Pfalztgraf refers to, Ann Darrow. Darrow is a struggling vaudeville actress down on her luck and living in N.Y. during the Great Depression. Struggling to make a living but unwilling to compromise and become a burlesque dancer she considers her limited options while aimlessly wandering the streets of Manhattan. Hungry, she unsuccessfully tries to steal an apple from a fruit vender and is quickly rescued by filmmaker, Carl Denham (Jack Black).
