Airing at 1 a.m., Fearless Music TV appeals to audiences who like to stay up late and who enjoy rock and roll at any hour.
The program is designed to expose some of the freshest bands to viewing audiences.
Though most of these bands are already well known to kids who are part of the indie world, this is an effective way to get them across to those who aren't.
All performances that are featured on the show are recorded live at the Fearless Music TV Studios. The original performances gave the programs it's own look and feel, instead of just using the same videos that other music television programs feature.
The bands played as if the camera wasn't even in front of them. They played with ease and without distraction. Fearless Music TV is a good inside look at what these bands would be like in concert, if you were ever to check them out live.
On the debut episode many bands were featured. Performances were relatively short so they could fit a lot of bands in one half hour show.
The first couple of bands to perform and rock out were "Shiny Toy Guns" and "The Ravonettes."
Lead by the actress who is well known for starring in movies such as "The Other Sister" and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," Juliette Lewis' band, "Juliette and the Licks" performed.
This band seems to be a bit more popular because of the well -known actress that sings for them. Also, they once were in the line-up for Vans' Warped Tour, which exposed them to many sweaty people in the Summer of 2005.
For this performance, they played the track "Money in My Pocket" off of their newest CD, "You're Speaking My Language."
Another better known band that was featured on this episode was "Aqualung."
Their performance of "Brighter than Sunshine" was a melodic piano and guitar number with both members singing.
During Fearless Music TV, it was nice to see that for once the focus was where it is supposed to be; music, the focus was really music. Some of today's music television stations forget that when they are airing programs focused on elaborate sweet sixteens and "pimping out rides,"
Fearless Music TV's motto is "no talk, just rock," which is a good change.
Viewers are encouraged throughout the show to go online and vote for their favorite artist. For more information, you should check out www.fearlessmusic.tv for photos, live videos, and links for where you can purchase the music featured on the show. And don't forget watch the show on Saturday nights at 1 a.m on Fox 5.
Expected to be on Fearless Music TV in the next few episodes are artists such as Metric and Kt Tunstall, don't miss it.
