Sacred Heart University will hold the annual Career Fair. This Spring Internship & Career Fair will take place on Feb. 15, 2006.
There will be about eighty-five employers from diverse organizations of different fields present.
Internships provide students the skills and the know-how that the classroom experience cannot offer.
Internship credits are required to graduate in most majors, interning has become more than an obligation for students.
In fact, a great deal of students enjoy working for companies during their college years because they feel they are learning something and they feel much more motivated and more self-confident.
Internships give students the chance to work with other professionals who assign a certain project to those interns and help them to elaborate on it appropriately.
This allows students and employers to measure the capacities of those students as potential employees.
Apprentices are given an opportunity to develop a real job; not only get coffee and donuts for the bosses like in some cases used to be.
In fact, a big percentage of students have the option of earning money while earning college credit. This is a huge opportunity that students should take advantage of.
Creating a good resume is not an easy task. Nowadays, many companies search for prepared and efficient people who have experience in the field. Internships are the key to become one of those competent workers that organizations look for.
Interning for as many companies as you can is the basis to build up a good resume. Later, companies will count on internships for experience.
Besides this, innumerable positives aspects surround internships; they give students the chance to see if where they are interning is what you really want to do for the rest of your life.
Working for a company during your college years offers you the possibility to either confirm your career decision or change your mind.
Other advantages such as the chance to experience different work backgrounds, teamwork, collaboration and management skills have been also observed.
