On April 21, at the prestigious annual CT Department of Higher Education Community Service Awards Ceremony, the SHU Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter received one of three awards in the state for exceptional community service in the "student group" category. SHU Habitat received a plaque and $500 for a donation to Habitat. Other SHU groups and individuals recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community were: UMOJA, Zeta Iota Lambda. Mike Hougasian, Mike Mosher, Megan Wood, Professor Donna Bowers
