The show's included appearances by contestants Jon Cretella, John Fallivene, Mike Galdieri, Mike Hannon, Alex Kantarelis, Shaun Mitchell, Dave Morson, Frank Pistecchia, and Jamin Riddick.
At the start, each contestant gave a pre-interviewed show to the audience via video tape, and then was revealed to the audience in person by walking through the auditorium towards the stage.
Jon Cretella's entrance as Austin Powers following his themed screen show was a great start to the evening's events and left the audience in hysterics.
Next, as a "trick" the audience was told that while the guys changed into their next costumes, there would be a Moulin Rouge dance show, given by a few "ladies," soon unmasked to be the guys themselves, strutting their stuff in black slacks, white t-shirts and muti-colored boas.
After proving their dancing skills, the next part of the contest was the notorious swimwear competition. Each man creatively thought of ways to give the audience a thrill, from flashing Speedo, to actually putting on a woman's bikini top and bottom and playing jump rope, compliments of Pistecchia.
Next up was the talent portion of the competition. Each contestant proved that they had more than just beauty. Alex Kantarelis amazed the audience with his skillful guitar playing with the accompaniment of the SHU Force dancers, while Mike Galdieri serenaded the viewers with his exceptional singing voice.
Mike Hannon received a standing ovation for his interpretation of the infamous Napoleon Dynamite dance, and Jamin wowed the audience with his impressive salsa dancing skills, and then returned to finish his talent portion by dancing to hip hop.
While the boys ran to change into their formal wear presentation, a slide show was prepared to entertain the audience during the wait. The presentation included pictures of the boys practicing, and the preparation they each had to endure, being contestants of the Mr. SHU competition.
Next, each guy appeared to the viewers, wearing the tuxedo's of their choice. Each guy was escorted by the girl of their choice. Mike Galdieri was escorted by Kristin Balbi, a freshman from Westchester, who said, "It was so nice to get all dressed up for this, I am truly proud of Mike! He really worked hard for this."
