The end of winter and the beginning of spring marks the changing of seasons as warm weather arrives accompanied by a plethora of sunshine. After being trapped inside for nearly four months avoiding the cold, people get frantic waiting for spring to arrive. Spring fever is often associated with the change of seasons and traditionally girls and guys get together around the same time. Is there such thing as spring fever or is this just a coincidence?
The increase in sunshine is the most probable cause for the increased interaction between people. Seemingly, as the warm weather rolls in, days are sunnier, moods are better, people are out more, and increased interaction is almost guaranteed.
Other contributors to spring fever go hand in hand with the college life style. Spring begins toward the end of the semester and students will do anything to avoid work. Almost everyone is tired of working and we all want to be outside together enjoying the nice weather. Also, many people have shed those winter pounds in search for some awesome beach muscles or a great new look to show off. Clothing becomes minimal as everyone is looking to get tan and show off all the work in the gym. Students want to look great in the summer and spring is the first time they can show off those bodies. I believe this because of the nicer weather is the main cause for spring fever.
We can blame spring fever on society and pop culture. We're all looking for that "movie-type" of summer romance... spring fever could very well be part of this search.
