Never been on spring break before or want to top last year's vacation? If so, start planning your spring break now.

From March 4 to 11, Sacred Heart students will have their time to relax, party and get away from it all.

Getting away to a different place, mostly tropical, creates the image for student spring breakers. Planning and figuring out a student's budget can be tricky but there is a service called Student City that can help with scheduling, pricing and finding the perfect vacation.

Students can visit www.studentcity.com to begin their perfect spring break package search. Whether students are looking for great nightlife schedules or party packages, Student City helps.

"There was a lot to do during the day in Acapulco, such as going to the beach and pool parties. During the night, we had a set schedule from Student City with great places to go," said Alyssa DiMaria, senior, Mahwah, N.J.

DiMaria went to Alcapulco spring semester 2007 and is planning on making another trip for spring break 2008.

Ever wonder what it was like to go to Puerto Rico? For Scott Giordano it was an experience he will never forget.

"I have never been out of the country before and it was awesome to be with my friends in such a beautiful place," said Giordano, senior, Hamden.

Although Giordano had a great spring break experience, he has to stay close to campus due to a sports commitment.

While many students do have the liberty to plan their spring break whenever, many are student athletes who have practices, games and meets that hinder them from going on vacation with the rest of the student body.

"The best thing for students to do is plan in advance," said Giordano.

MTV also holds great entertainment for students taking trips during spring break. According to the Student City website, they help students plan trips where they can see their favorite celebrities.

Miami is a great place for spring breakers, especially if they love to be on the beach. For Kelly Daley, who visited Miami for spring break 2007, it was one of the best vacations she has ever experienced.

"It was so nice to just be in the sun and not have to worry about anything, especially homework," said Kelly Daley, junior, Stamford.

Another great location for spring break is Cancun, Mexico.

"I have never been to Mexico before and I am really excited to go because I heard it was a really beautiful and fun place," said Kailee Lanagan, junior, Sutton, Mass.

Students can look forward to the planning process for their greatest spring break trip. Now is the time to start looking for places and the best deals possible.

Whether you are looking to relax for a few days on an island or go crazy with your friends in an exotic vacation spot, Student City can help. There are many campus reps right here to help with your planning as well. To find the names of these people, log on to the Student City website to see who is a campus rep in the area.

Another helpful way to find great places to stay would be to ask upper classmen who have been on spring break trips.

Spring break 2008 is just around the corner, so happy planning.
